Going on a retreat means taking time away from your everyday life. It’s purpose to to create dedicated time, just for you. Retreats are not just for celebrities or high powered business executives, they are for anyone who would like to take some time out from the hustle and bustle of life to rest, reflect and recharge their batteries. Retreats can be individual or group settings and range from a day to a week and beyond depending on your needs and budget.
Taking dedicated time out means you get the much needed space that we don’t often get with busy lives and gives you time to reflect on your life, values, relationships, career or whatever it is you would like to focus on; they can help you gain clarity on your purpose or the way forward with a problem or dream and allow you refocus on what is most important to you. The retreat experience can be invigorating and life changing but also exhausting, so it’s important to know that you will also get down time to reflect and digest.
There are many different types of retreat, some focus relaxation, weight loss, spiritual & religious beliefs or activities such as yoga. At BOLD Women, we focus on bringing together small groups of women and work with the mind and body connection by providing wholesome nourishing food, gentle exercise and workshops that will help you to declutter your mind, banish negative emotions, unleash your inner confidence and help you find clarity on your hopes and dreams so you can move forward to create a life that you truly love.
Our carefully designed workshops have been created to be thought provoking and provide insight into your inner thoughts, hopes and dreams, so that you can leave with a clear understanding of what is important to you. Each participant will have a different focus or area that they wish to address such as personal or business relationships, overcoming challenges, overcoming health issues to exploring your life’s purpose.
Or maybe you just know life could be better, but you’re not quite sure how? Whatever your aim, you will all be able to work through your challenges in a way that suits you, only ever sharing what you feel comfortable with, safe in the knowledge that anything you do share will remain strictly confidential.
While you are more than welcome to attend with a friend or family member, the majority of participants feels they gain more by attending alone as this gives them a safe space to be truly open about their hopes and challenges. Developed from modern psychology, NLP is one of the most invaluable and empowering methods to bring about rapid, positive change and transformation for a wide variety of behavioural, psychological and emotional issues. The extensive NLP techniques can be used to build communication skills, increase confidence, eradicate fears, phobias and negative thought patterns and beliefs and in addition can effectively tackle past negative experiences and trauma.
How can coaching help?
Coaching can be used to improve all areas of a person’s life from reducing stress and anxiety to confidence building and goal setting, and is particularly effective to support positive outcomes and change in the following areas:
Increasing confidence and low self-esteem
One of the most common reasons for people to seek coaching for is to overcome low self- confidence or self-esteem.
It’s a sad and shocking truth that many of us will suffer from low self-esteem or confidence at some point in our lives. Self-esteem is defined by a person’s confidence in their own worth or abilities; basically, how we feel about ourselves.
NLP techniques can be effective in helping to boost sense of worth and confidence by breaking negative thought patterns, beliefs and habits to gain new found confidence and in-turn increased happiness and opportunities.
Banishing stress and anxiety
Anxiety and stress can be caused by unconscious, negative thought patterns which can seriously affect relationships and more importantly are detrimental to health when they continue for long periods of time. Overcoming past trauma or negative experiences
While we cannot change our past, we can only change how we view it and deal with it to make sure these negative experiences do not have a negative impact on our present or future happiness and potential. There are a number of coaching styles and disciplines from emotional intelligence and provocative coaching to spiritual and life coaches. The coaching relationship is a very personal one, finding the right coach for you is key; look for someone that you have good rapport with and understands your requirements and objectives. Both parties need to be committed to the working relationship and it should have a foundation of trust, honesty and integrity.
At BOLD Women we believe that everyone has the resources within them to be anything and everything they want to be, sometimes we are just experiencing unresourceful states. Our coaching is based on NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) techniques and is conducted either face to face at our beautiful cabin in Surrey, via Skype or from Calmer Clinics in Pimlico by appointment.
We run a variety of affordable workshops throughout the year that support those:
o Held back by negative emotions such as anger, fear, guilt, jealousy, sadness or anxiety
o Repeating patterns of negative behaviour or thoughts
o Lacking in self-esteem or confidence
o Surviving/existing with no real pleasure and ‘just getting through the day’ with no real feeling of purpose or happiness
o Have a goal or dream that they just can’t quite get to
o Have had a life changing event such as divorce, redundancy or illness that has challenged their identity
Our experience days are very BOLD and designed to take you out of your comfort zone, some focus on social aspects like dinner and theatre trips or walking weekends and others may challenge you a bit further like treetop climbing to cooking lessons and karaoke. Whatever you enjoy, there is something for everyone, creating an opportunity to try new things, get out and do what you enjoy with a group of like-minded women, many of whom will become lifelong friends.
